There is just over two weeks to go before election day. The candidates will be using every strategy they can think of to get elected. Your assignment today is to find a current (published within the last week) story (written or video) about your candidate's efforts over the last week to improve his/her chances of being elected. Will your candidate's efforts prove successful on election day? (
Remember to link to your chosen story.
If you are having trouble finding a story about your candidate, select an advertisement for your candidate that has been released in the last week.

Today's Blog Post Topic
Hello fellow Civics bloggers,
Today's task is to locate and share some information about the candidate you have decided to follow for the next month. Here is a list of the things you need to discover and share in your blog posts today:
1. What office is your candidate running for?
2. Which political party (if any) is your candidate a member of?
3. Where is your candidate from?
3a. Where did your candidate grow-up? Do you think it makes a difference if the candidate is not a native of Maine?
4. What did your candidate do prior to running for office in 2010?
4a. Has your candidate previously held any elected office? If so, what office and for how long?
5. What appears to be the issue that is most important to your candidate?

Welcome Civics Students
Hello fearless Civics students. Welcome to your new writing home on the web.
Over the remainder of the semester you will use this blog to share what you've learned and to ask questions.
For the next month and through the November 2nd election you will use this blog to post updates about your chosen Gubernatorial and Congressional candidates (state and national level).
All of your blog posts must include at least one link to either the source of your story or to additional information. Good bloggers also use images and videos whenever they can do so appropriately.
Find the list of candidates here.
Happy blogging!
