Libby Mitchell si running rof Governor, She is a democrat, She is from Vassalboro but she grew up in South Carolina. I don't think it makes a difference if she is from Maine or not, as long as she has our states best interest at heart. She was elected Senate president in December 2008. The thing that seems most important to her is education.
